A Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Engr. Tunde Kuku has in an interview with Metro Times expressed surprise at the growing concern of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) over Gen. Muhammadu Buhari's eligibility to contest in the ucoming general elections describing the entire senario as a failed dstraction attempt.
"I really don't know why the presidency and the PDP are making montains out of nothing over Gen. Buhari's certificates. He (GMB) contested in three previous elections in this country and there was never an issue over hiS certifificates. So, why now? For me, it is a failed distraction attempt by the PDP and as you can see we (APC) more focused now than ever" he sai
The former LGA chairman in Lagos state also stressed that Gen. Buhari has not breached any law by swearing to an affidavit in place of his certificates but will only be said to have gone against the law only if any of the informAtion provided by him is found to be false.
His words - "there is nothing wrong in him (GMB) swearing to an affidavit in place of his certificates. He will only be said to have breached the law if any of the information provided by him is found to be false. I mean, if GMB claim to have attended a School in Nigeria or anywhere else for instance and anybody feels otherwise, the sane thing for such person to do is to inquire from the school instead of resorting to cheap blackmail"
Gen. Buhari while addressing newsmen at Rivers state government lodge in Abuja also said "there were individuals who have written to the United States War College and the college answered them and they were published in the newspapers

Video Archive: FFK exposes PDP, says Nigerians should join hands with Tinubu, Buhari to fight the PDP
The ever controversial former minister of Aviation, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode in a video interview from Metro TimesNG archive referred to the PDP as a disgraceful stinking party that is unfair to its members while urging Nigerians to join hands with members of the opposition to fight the PDP.
Speaking in the interview held after the controversial
Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF) election held in May 2013, the current director
of Media to president Jonathan campaign organization expressed his
disappointment at what he termed disgraceful, the behavior of the presidency
and the PDP by trying to upturn an election said to have been lost by a 3votes
majority to Gov. Rotimi Ameachi of Rivers state thereby creating a faction
within the NGF.
“PDP as it is constituted today, judging from what we
saw…the disgraceful behavior. You (Jang faction) lose an election, you come out
to create a faction, split the NGF and you say you are a leader. You now start
expelling people from the party, prosecuting Gov. Ameachi not knowing that they
are only making him into a hero. They are driving people to the opposition and
as far as am concern, it is a good thing, it is the work of God”
“Even the saner voices within the PDP itself, what I call
the sane voices, the rational voices and they are few. They are also fighting
for survival. People like president Obasanjo, my boss and he will always remain
my boss and Oga, somebody that helped built this party (PDP) to the formidable
party that it once was. But the PDP of Obasanjo is not the PDP of today. It is
a different party entirely and even the Obasanjos of this world are not having
it easy there (PDP) because they are not even being fair to him. I admire the
fact and I respect the fact and I am eternally being grateful for the fact that
I served in a government that president Obasanjo led. I was Obasanjo, not
PDP……” he said
Meanwhile, he urged Nigerians to join hands with Ribadu,
El-Rufai, Tinubu and Buhari to save Nigeria from the hands of the People’s
Democratic Party (PDP).
Chief Fani-Kayode was reported to have released a statement
on Sunday 11th January 2015, accusing President Jonathan (his
current boss) of leading Nigeria to hell by using the Nigeria Police Force to
create anarchy in Port Harcourt, Rivers state and referring to former president
Obasanjo’s letter to President Goodluck Jonathan where it was alleged that the
president is breeding snipers to be used against the opposition saying the
voice of the opposition cannot be silenced.
Now that Chief
Fani-Kayode is the Director of Media of President Jonathan’s campaign
organization, will former President Obasanjo still remain his boss? If
Obasanjo is his boss, is FFK his mole in PDP's camp just like he had in Atiku's camp?
Governor Ameachi is a fighter who never fails in all assignment given to him - GMB
The presidential candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Gen. Muhammadu Buhari while delivering a speech at the official Inauguration of the APC presidential committee in Abuja on Monday lauds the governor of Rivers state, Rotimi Ameachi for his commitment and contribution to the success the party has recorded so far referring to him as a fighter and someone who never fails in all assignment given to him.
“I trust in the leadership of his excellency Gov. Rotimi
Ameachi to drive the presidential campaign of our prestigious and great party
as he is a fighter who never fails in all assignment given to him. He is
committed and has contributed immensely to the success achieved so far by our
great party” – GMB
He also used the opportunity to advice the party (APC)
supporters to abstain from any unruly behavior before, during and after the
election urging them to be vigilant at all time.
“I urge my supporters not to insult or be rude to any other
aspirant or party leader on my behalf. My supporters must not engage in any
kind of behavior or conduct that will tarnish the image of any leader or cause
division and rancor within the party. Whoever does that should know he or she
is working for the enemy.
At the same time, I will like to urge you to be good
ambassadors of the opposition. In our party, the opposition is committed to the
rule of law and as member/supporter of the party you must learn to do the same
at all time. In particular, you must learn to be vigilant especially before,
during and immediately after elections whether you are right or wrong so that
purported hoodlums are not made to commit illegalities that are in the end
blamed on you.
Not only must you not take law into your hands, you must
also be able to expose those that are planning to do so before they act.”
The ex-military head of state also expressed optimism for a
landslide victory at the poles, saying it will be unprecedented.
“We undertake to end the reign of the ruling People’s
Democratic Party (PDP), a party that has proved clueless in every material
particular, which has failed to address any of the important concerns of the people
of the country, which has failed to deal squarely with the great security
challenge that has faced this nation in the last 5years and it remain touchy.
It is not a matter of whether we will win at the poles comes
February, it is a matter of the landslide victory we shall record and it will
be unprecedented,” he said
He however vowed to secure Nigerians and ensure no one goes
to bed hungry.

Port Harcourt shooting: Fani-Kayode condemns act, says president Jonathan leading country to hell
A former Minister of Aviation and current Director of media and publicity of president Jonathan 2015 campaign organization, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode has yesterday condemned the shootings by the Nigerian Police that took place in Port Harcourt, Rivers state during the rally organised by the Save Rivers Movement, a mobilization group of the APC, says the president is leading the country to hell.
He said, “The President is leading Nigeria on the road to hell. The madnesss, the attacks, the killings, the insults, the persecution, the wickedness, the impunity and the intimidation has to stop forthwith or else the consequences will be grave for the continued unity of our country. “
He, however, said that the President must know that no amount of intimidation would silence the voice of opposition in the country.
The former minister, who said this in a statement in Abuja on Sunday, described the attack as disheartening.
He said, “The attack on Senator Magnus Abe and other members of the APC in Port Harcourt today by agents of Nigeria’s security forces are disheartening and exceptionally dangerous.
“Just a couple of days ago Governor Rabiu Kwankwaso’s father was attacked and some of his people killed in Kano by unknown gunmen. Such wickedness, intolerance and evil is rarely seen.
“Let those that believe that they can silence the voices of the opposition with threats of violence and death be rest assured of one thing – we cannot be intimidated and neither can we be silenced.”
He said the country was told about the training of snipers and list of opposition figures being drawn up for assassination, but regretted that policemen were now openly attacking the same innocent Nigerians and opposition figures that they are being paid to protect.

2015: Sule Lamido no longer committed to GEJ's campaign, Presidency worries
The presidency is worried over the attitude of Jigawa State Governor Sule Lamido to the campaign of President Goodluck Jonathan, The PUNCH reports.
Lamido, who was said to have been interested in contesting the party’s presidential primary, was among those allegedly forced to forgo their ambition because of the adoption of President Jonathan as the party’s sole candidate.
A lady, Prof. Akasoba Duke-Abiola, who defied the party’s endorsement of Jonathan and paid for its expression of interest form, was denied the form and could not participate in the party’s presidential primary.
Since then, Lamido is being seen as not committed to the Jonathan’s 2015 project.
The governor had at the different occasions complained about the refusal of the President to keep to the promises he made to the people of his state in 2011.
He had also vowed that keeping to such promises would determine if he and the people of the state would vote for Jonathan during the February 14 presidential election.
Though the President and the PDP had named him as the North-West presidential campaign co-ordinator, Lamido was absent when the President inaugurated the campaign committee in Abuja on Tuesday.
Lamido also refused to attend the flag-off of his party’s presidential campaign in Lagos on Thursday.
Apart from that, the PDP governorship candidate in Jigawa, Alhaji Ibrahim Ringim, was also not at the event to collect the party’s flag from the PDP National Chairman, Alhaji Adamu Mu’azu.
Ringim was the chief of staff to Lamido. He resigned from the position to contest the party’s governorship primary.
A Presidency official said that Lamido only busy campaigning for Ringim as his successor.
The official, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said, “He (Lamido) has not told us why he refused to be at the rallies. Rather, he’s busy campaigning for his candidate.
“Though that is also alright, but we expected him to also identify with the President in the state and the zone, where he is the coordinator.”
A member of the National Working Committee of the PDP, who also spoke on the issue, said that the governor was under watch.
But the National Secretary of the party, Prof. Wale Oladipo, defended the governor’s refusal to attend the rallies.
He said the governor had been busy campaigning for the President in his zone, adding that the party had no doubt that the governor would deliver the state and the zone to the PDP.
“We are happy with the governor. We also knew why he and our party’s candidate could not make it to Lagos for the rally. It was because the programme was an impromptu one. It was due to communication gap. But we are saying that he is working for us in the state,” Oladipo said.

GEJ's campaign bus burnt in Jos
It seems to have been a bad day for the People's Democratic Party (PDP) as some angry youth on Saturday attacked and set ablaze a campaign bus branded with president Goodluck Jonathan's campaign poster at Zololo junction, Bauchi road, Jos-North Local Government area of Plateau State.
The attack which occurred as PDP supporters in the state converged at the Hiapang Airport to receive the gubernatorial candidate of the party, Gyang Pwajok, who was returning from Lagos after receiving his flag last Thursday has generated tension in the state capital as residents rushed home for safety.
Though the bus was badly damaged and burnt, a source who simply identified himself as Adams speaking with Metro TimesNG said the driver escaped unhurt.
"The driver quickly got down from the car and ran away before the guys attacked the bus. If not for God's intervention, the damage could have been more than this..." he said
